I am a California native born in Burbank. I knew since I was very young that I would be involved in women’s health care. I volunteered at a hospital while in high school and always requested to be in the labor and delivery unit. After having my children, I received by BSN from USC. I then was a charge nurse in a high risk Labor and Delivery unit for 13 years before embarking on my midwifery training. I received my midwifery degree from the University of Cincinnati with a Post Master's Certificate in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Before coming to UCLA I was at a private practice in Ventura County.
Being a midwife became the perfect choice for me. Every woman is a unique individual and needs to be treated as such. I am honored to be able to care for women during this ever changing period of their life. Every day brings new experiences for me. Every time I deliver a baby I feel privileged to be a part of the miracle of birth. Women today want more from their healthcare and I want to empower women and allow them the experience they are seeking.
I live with in Camarillo with my husband David. We have a blended family of 5 boys. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love the outdoors and make time for hiking, biking, kayaking and swimming. My favorite thing is cooking, especially when the whole family gets involved!
