Erica Pahua was born and raised in The San Fernando Valley, California. Erica was blessed with growing up in a household where her grandmother had practiced Midwifery in El Salvador. Growing up, she loved listening to the birthing adventures that her grandmother had embarked in and from a young age Erica knew that Women's Health was her calling. She began her pursuit towards Midwifery by first obtaining a Bachelors of Nursing degree from Azusa Pacific University. She then worked as a labor and delivery nurse for several years prior to obtaining her Master’s degrees as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
Erica believes that birth is natural and empowering. She honors every woman’s right to birth in a safe and supportive environment and is passionate about providing quality care for the mothers, babies and families she serves. She knows that every birth is special and genuine and that every woman should be allowed the right to achieve the type of birth that she desires. Erica understands what an honor it is to be invited into any laboring woman's birthing experience and therefore views any birth that she attends as a sacred moment that must be guarded and respected. She always ensures that the beauty of birth prevails while ensuring that a safe environment is maintained.
