Applications for the positions beginning July 1st, 2018 are accepted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). The deadline to apply for the 2018-2019 academic year is April 21, 2017. The UCLA-Cedars Sinai Medical Center's ERAS ID number is 380000002.
UCLA and Cedars-Sinai were formerly a combined ABOG accredited gynecologic oncology fellowship programs. With the 2016-2017 transition from ABOG to ACGME accreditation, both programs are now independent. Although we are separate programs, ERAS made the decision for the 2017 season to have all Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship programs continue participating under their ABOG ID numbers. Please note that your application will go to both UCLA and Cedars-Sinai fellowship programs, which will be offering separate interview invitations and participating in the NRMP match as independent programs.
Your ERAS application must include three letters of recommendation from individuals who can access your clinical capabilities as well as your future potential for the field of Gynecologic Oncology. CREOG reports should be sent directly to Stacey Ma at SLMa@mednet.ucla.edu. Applicants with a foreign medical degree must also include copies of all educational transcripts, exam scores, and ECFMG certificate with the application. All application materials must be received by the deadline in order to be considered a candidate for this program.
Select candidates will be offered an invitation to visit our program in Los Angeles. Interview offers will be extended in late April or May of 2017 after review of applications.
Applicants will also need to register for the National Resident Matching Program. Applicants may get more information on the NRMP fellowship match application process and deadlines at their website or call 1-866-653-6767.
The ACGME publishes the Program Requirements for Fellowship Graduate Medical Education on its website.
Applicants who match to the UCLA/OVMC Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program must obtain a California Medical License. An explanation of the licensure procedure can be found at http://www.mbc.ca.gov/.
